Baccarat is typically played with six to eight standard decks of cards, and the objective of the game is to bet on the hand that will come closest to a total value of 9.
General Rules
▪️ 52 Cards of a Deck are Used
▪️ 2 Hands are Formed on the Table → 1 for the Player and 1 for the Banker
▪️ 2 of Them are Dealt 2 Cards Each
▪️ The Goal Is To Choose the Hand That is Closer to Nine (9), Adding Card Numbers
▪️ There is also a Chance to Bet on a Tie if the Player Thinks the 2 Hands Will Have the Same Sum
▪️ Number 9 is the Highest Hand
▪️ All Players Have to Decide On Who to Bet on & the Amount They Would Like to Place
▪️ If the Sum of the Cards is 8, it's called Le Petit, if 9 it's called Le Grande
▪️ If one of these sets is drawn with the first 2 cards that have been dealt, Le Petit or Le Grande Wins & the Round is Over
The Meaning of Hands
◾Player
▪️ Player Takes the 3rd Card if Card Sum is 0 - 5
▪️ An exception is where Banker has 8 or 9 → Natural hand
▪️ Player Stays on 2 Cards if the Sum ≥ 6
◾Banker
▪️ Gets a 3rd Card if the Sum of All Cards (Player & Banker) is 1-2
▪️ 3 → 3rd Card Unless the Player has 8
▪️ 4 → 3rd Card In Case Player has 2-7
▪️ 5 → 3rd Card In Case Player has 7-9
Value of Cards
▪️ All Cards Have Their Original Value except Aces, which count as One (1) & Figures that Hold no Value and Count as Zero (0)
▪️ Only One-Digit Cards are Counted (Subtract 10 From any 2 Digit Numbers)
▪️ Aces → Always Count As 1
▪️ Cards 2-9 → Have Their Name Value
▪️ All Figures & 10’s → Hold Zero (0) Value
How to Win in Baccarat
▪️ If the Player Has a Total Sum of 8 or 9, Wins unless the Dealer has also the Same Sum
▪️ If the Player Has any Other Set, the Dealer can Give him the 3rd Card if the Sum of 1st 2 Cards is >= 5
▪️ The one who has the Greatest Hand is the Winner of the Round
